Actress Wamiqa developed cold feet over a kissing scene in her debut flick, Sixteen. She is one of the four teens in the film, directed by Raj Purohit.Interestingly, Wamiqa had had no issues when she was briefed about the scene earlier. But on the day of the shoot, she was nervous — more so because her parents were present on the sets.
Wamiqa's co-star Keith — who she was supposed to kiss — decided to calm her down.
And it worked. Says he, "The shot was okayed in a single take. The scene signifies the loss of innocence in the film. Initially, when we were told about it, she was okay and I felt shy. I felt awkward probably because of the age gap. But when we had to actually shoot, it was the other way around."
Sixteen, presented by Fincraft Media & Entertainment and Paramhans Creations, releases on July 12.
