Aishwarya Rai’s new statue at Musée Grévin wax museum!!

Bollywood beauty Aishwarya Rai already has her share of wax statues at different Madame Tussauds museums. Now, she’s become the first Bollywood actress to make it to the Musée Grévin wax museum. Here’s a sneak peek of Ash’s statue to be unveiled at the Montreal branch of the Musée Grévin wax museum. Musée Grévin is one of the oldest wax museums in Europe. It had first approached Aishwarya Rai way back in 2008 for a wax statue, but she was busy back then. The actress was approached by the museum again in 2011. But then she was pregnant. However, Aishwarya was graceful enough to take out a few hours for the Musée Grévin team to take her facial measurements. Since she was pregnant, the artists referred her photos for the statue’s figure. Reportedly, the wax statue took about six months to make. Its look seems inspired from one of Ash’s Cannes appearances (right in the photo above). Musée Grévin already has the wax statue of Shahrukh Khan. The museum houses the wax replicas of international celebs like Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Meryl Streep, Penelope Cruz and Cameron Diaz, among others.
