Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie 'To Tie The Knot On Cruise Ship'

Written By Unknown on Wednesday, 17 July 2013 | 04:52

BRAD PITT and ANGELINA JOLIE better have good sea legs – they’re up for a floating wedding.

The couple have been making enquiries about getting married aboard the Hebridean Princess, a ship sailing the waters off Scotland and previously chartered by THE QUEEN.

Plans were underway for them to tie the knot at their French chateau.

But they had a change of heart thanks to son MADDOX.

A source told Bizarre: “It was Maddox who came up with the idea of the ship. He came across it after looking back at photos of the Carnell Estate in Ayrshire, where they stayed and all loved.

“So now they’ve made enquiries into booking the whole vessel.

“It’s just what they’re after. It can hold up to 50 of their friends and family and serve as a traditional, romantic setting — all totally private.

“Or they could always sail to a secluded bay off the Orkney or Shetland islands and have the ceremony there. The kids are all hooked on old British voyages, so they would love it. The fact that Maddox found it makes it more special.”

The ship is a favourite with the rich and famous, including the Queen. She booked it in 2006 to celebrate her 80th birthday and chartered it again in 2010 for a holiday with Prince Philip.

So it doesn’t come cheap.

Chartering it would set the couple back around £300,000 — pocket money to them.

Neither would they have any problems with the marriage licence, as they could do in France.

A minister can perform a wedding ceremony anywhere in Scotland, even out on the water — unlike in England, where you must have a licence for a civil ceremony. SIR ALEX FERGUSON fancied a trip on the Hebridean Princess this summer too. But the retired Manchester United boss got turned down — as they were already fully booked.

Ken Charleson, chief operating officer of the ship’s owners, Hebridean Island Cruises, said: “We have a very confidential relationship with a number of high-profile guests.

“I can’t confirm whether they have been making enquiries or not.

“But of course, they are more than welcome.”

I might offer Brad the use of my kilt.

World War Z – Review

Written By Unknown on Tuesday, 25 June 2013 | 00:26

Film: World War Z
Cast: Brad Pitt, James Badge Dale,Matthew Fox, Mireille Enos
Director: Marc Forster
Rating: **1/2

The zombie genre seems to be 'done to death' (pun intended). With Brad Pitt as the poster boy, World War Z gets all the right buzz a film of its stature requires. A classic end of the world scenario set against the backdrop of modern day New York sees a virus outbreak that turns humans into zombies. Gerry (Pitt) is a retired UN investigator having a regular day out with his wife (Enos) and kids, until they witness a savage attack by the living dead. In order to keep his family safe on a peace keeping ship, Gerry has to go back to his previous job and identify what led to the epidemic. Mid way the action shifts to Jerusalem, the only place in the world with a refugee camp. The climax unfolds inside a World Health Organisation (WHO) facility in Wales where some of the best scenes of the film are shot.

While this isn't the first and won't be the last of the zombie flicks, WWZ tries to intellectualise the topic and give it a cerebral twist. Apart from the money making 'action scenes', fights and chases, Forster offers an interesting analogy of the human psyche. Unlike the zombies we have seen, these creatures are nimble on their feet to the extent they can make a pyramid and breach walls. Also their walk and appearance is different from the traditional look these flesh eating characters are given.

Pitt is charming enough to fill up a frame with the right star appeal to keep us engrossed. His scene in the laboratory at Wales where he goes on a mission to get the antidote will have your full attention.Likewise the mid air adventure on the Belarus airline is a major highlight. But on the flipside we wish we were fully convinced to sustain our interest in a otherwise lethargic first half. Also the last monologue doesn't do the required trick and seems forced. WWZ has moments where its heart is in the right place, but the whole exercise seems lackluster.
