Salman Khan Inspires Shahid Kapoor

Salman Khan has essayed the character of a cop in several films — most recently in Dabangg (2010) and Dabangg 2 (2012). His performances have been loved by fans, and have inspired some, like actor Shahid Kapoor.

In his upcoming release, Phata Poster Nikhla Hero, Shahid will be seen acting and behaving like Salman in some of the sequences. Interestingly, Shahid took a couple of months off to prepare to play the character.

“When we narrated the script to him, he asked for two months to prepare for the role. He wanted to get the body language right. He has done a great job,” says producer Ramesh Taurani.

Shahid’s character in the film is a fan of Salman Khan, and he will even sport a Being Human (Salman’s charity) T-shirt. “Yes, Shahid’s character is a Salman fan, but interestingly, as the title goes, he also follows all the other commercial stars of Bollywood. So there are parts when he will also be seen behaving like Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar,” adds the producer.

To prepare for the role, Shahid watched a few of Salman’s movies too. “After a very long time, Shahid will be portraying a funny character. In the movie, his role is of an actor who is mistaken to be a cop. And in order to get into the character properly, he saw a lot of Salman’s films including Wanted, Dabangg, Dabangg 2 among others,” says a source close to the film.

Parineeti Chopra or Ileana D'Cruz, who will romance Salman Khan?

One of these two actresses will be paired opposite Salman Khan in Sooraj Barjatya's film.

After Hrs recommended possible heroines for Sooraj Barjatya’s next film mainlining Salman Khan. It can now be revealed that the director and the actor have zeroed in on two of those choices — Parineeti Chopra and Ileana D’Cruz. 

Both the actresses suit the mould of a Rajshri heroine. They both are beautiful and have that desi flavour. 

Says a source, “There were reports recently that Anushka Sharma had been signed as the leading lady opposite Salman. But that rumour was denied by the actress’ spokesperson. The fact is, Sooraj has gone through a list of actresses and selected Ileana and Parineeti as the final two. He is currently abroad scouting for locations for his Salman-starrer. When he returns, he will meet the two girls again and have script-reading sessions with them in Hindi, after which it will be decided which will be the lucky girl to be cast opposite Salman.”

Salman and Sooraj last worked together in Hum Saath Saath Hain, 14 years ago. They were waiting for the right script to work together again. The actor pushed No Entry sequel further and made way for this film. He even requested producer Boney Kapoor to adjust his dates so he could act in Sooraj’s film first. 

The sequel to No Entry will start only in 2014. Sooraj’s film is scheduled to start from October this year.

Apparently, the film is believed to be a family drama, revolving around the relationship between two brothers. While Salman will play the title role of the elder brother, a younger star (one of the names suggested has been Arjun Kapoor), will play the brother’s role.

Salman Khan is a grown man, says father Salim Khan

New Delhi: Salman Khan has been making headlines constantly for having allegedly found a new love interest - Romanian TV actress Iulia Vantur – and was even spotted at the Hyderabad airport a few days ago.

According to a leading daily, Salman’s father Salim Khan, remained evasive about the details of his son’s love life.

“He is a grown man. I don’t interfere in his personal life. It’s his choice and I don’t want to get into it (sic),” the veteran writer said.

Salman - who is shooting for his upcoming movie ‘Mental’ in Hyderabad - tried his best to maintain a safe distance from Iulia while stepping out of the domestic airport in the city. Salman’s bodyguards even led her to board a separate car.

She was later driven to the hotel, while Salman left for the shooting location.

Earlier, the two were in news over marriage rumours. According to the buzz, the two had been dating for the past two years and were on the verge of getting married. Salman – undoubtedly Bollywood’s most eligible bachelor – has had affairs with beauties like Somy Ali, Sangeeta Bijlani, Aishwarya Rai and Katrina Kaif in the past.

What remains to be seen is when will Salman marry and whom will he finally choose as his life partner!
