Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor had once set the size zero trend in the town and now she is up for a new challenge. Kareena will be sporting six-pack abs for her upcoming film titled Shuddhi. This movie which is being made by Karan Malhotra also stars Hrithik Roshan in the lead role. She went on a very strict diet and exercise regime to get the size zero look during her movie Tashan. This lead to many other actresses following her footsteps. Building a six pack look is not easy even for the men, but Kareena will go the extra mile to achieve this look.








It's quite common to see the male actors don this look but never have we seen an Indian actress sport the six pack abs. So Kareena will be the first one and this just makes everyone eager to see her in this avatar. At the moment Kareena is busy working with her next film titled Gori Tere Pyaar Mein. Once she is done with the film's promotional activities in November, she will start working towards her next challenge. She will be trained in martial arts as her role in Shuddhi requires it. The shooting for the movie will go on the floors from December. As Kareena will be bringing us this new avatar, we wonder what's Hrithik's challenge for this movie. Satyagraha is a bad script with good actors

The film could have been so much more had it taken the Madras Cafe route and made an honest, hard-hitting film.

What it's about:
If you ask me if Satyagraha is based on Anna Hazare and his whole movement, I will have to say yes. Even though everyone connected to the film has denied that. There are just too many coincidences for me to call this film a work of fiction. Yes, large dollops of fictional elements have been added to the script but it's too easy to guess who is playing who here. Dadu's aka Dwarka Anand (Amitabh Bachchan) fight against corruption is no different from Anna's movement, then there is his 'deputy' Manu (Ajay Devgn) who could easily pass off as Arvind Kejriwal. The whole political scenario at that time, the support of the opposition, the police action, the participation of the youths, the maligning of the party members, the disillusionment of the public, and finally formation of the party…We witnessed all this not too long ago..

What's good:
Satyagraha has all the ingredients for a good film. A subject that is still fresh in people's minds, a big star cast, a huge budget, a big banner. Director Prakash Jha takes up the issues (corruption and dirty politicians) that plague this nation. There is enough anger/frustration amongst people, if Satyagraha's purpose was to reminds us that nothing changed even after the movement, the rallies and the noise on the social network, it succeeds. The film will make you angry and make you feel helpless, powerless…it's all too real.. too close home. Maybe that it the director's intention. Which is why he should have done this docudrama style. It would have been more effective and relevant. Drama and emotions are the director's strengths and he excels in the scenes between Dwarka-Manu, Dwarka-Sumi (Amrita Rao) Manu-Yasmin (Kareena Kapoor). Some times an actor lets a script down, at other times the script lets an actor down. Satyagrahabelongs to the latter. It is laden by superb performances by it's cast. Ajay Devgn is in his comfort zone, yet another subdued and impactful performance but this role has a seen-that quality, Arjun Rampal and Manoj Bajpai are brilliant but it is Amitabh Bachchan who stays with you. Don't ever let this actor convince you he has already delivered his best performance. He just betters himself, and leaves you speechless and more than a little in awe. Kareena is sincere but let down by a poor role.

What's bad:
The thing that troubles me is: why make a fictional version of a subject like this? The only valid reason seems to be to not piss off the powers that be. To ensure a release. Admitting this is based on the Anna Hazare movement would have meant many hurdles. From political pressure to censor trouble to say the least. So director Prakash Jha choses to call this a drama/love story, thereby defeating the whole message/point of making a film like this. You can't make a film about what is wrong with the system, while surrendering to the system. It is a cop-out.Satyagraha could have been so much more had it taken the Madras Cafe route and made an honest, hard-hitting film. The bollywood-isation of the film is what ruins it. Another thing that jars in the film is Kareena's character. For some reason she is seen smiling through out the protests/rallies while filming them. Her hair is perfectly blow-dried, face too made up, which would have been fine had she been reading news in a studio, and not part of the ground team doing a report. But that is the least of my grouses with her character. She moves into the house of the person who she is covering, is seen on stage with them, becomes part of the movement…all while filing stories! A journalist can never do that. The reporting has to be unbiased, irrespective of the reporter's personal view on the subject. And which channel will allow one of their reporters/editors to openly align themselves to a campaign? What else is wrong? The songs. This film did not need songs. Certainly not actors lip-syncing them. The film begins with a song in which the item girl gyrating in bar dancer attire, the crowds are dressed in a trendy nightclub ensemble -- WTF moment.

What to do:
Watch it for Big B's performance. It would be a shame to miss that.

Saif Ali Khan can't be vegetarian ever: Kareena Kapoor!!

Mumbai: Actor Saif Ali Khan loves non-vegetarian food and his actress-wife Kareena Kapoor says he just can't do without eating meat.

"Saif can't be vegetarian, he says he can be vegetarian only for one meal and what that means, I don't understand. He is like, 'I can't not eat meat at night'," the 32-year-old said here Saturday at the launch of dietician Rujuta Diwekar's DVD "Indian Food Wisdom."

Saif has found new love in kachoris now.

Saif Ali Khan loves non-vegetarian food and his wife Kareena Kapoor says he just can't do without eating meat.

"But now Saif has found new love in kachoris and samosas and he gorged on them in Lucknow," said Kareena, who has turned vegetarian.

Kareena is currently busy promoting Prakash Jha's "Satyagraha." She is also shooting for Punit Malhotra's "Gori Tere Pyaar Mein" with Imran Khan.

Saif and Kareena got married in October 2012.

The Secret Behind Kareena's Thin Waist

Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor says rather than surviving on salads and juices, she eats simple Indian food to stay fit and healthy.

"I eat only simple Indian home food – sabzi, roti, dal, chawal, ghee. There are so many benefits of having ghee. My grandmother is 84 and she is still fit and looks beautiful," Kareena told reporters here last evening.

"One should eat everything especially healthy and not junk food. I don't like the idea of starving. I would eat and burn it out in gym. The amount of intake is what matters," she said.

Kareena, who was size zero five years back, begins her day with a banana milk shake followed by a cup of coffee.

"I don't know where this term of size zero came from, people called it that way (size zero). I became thin for 'Tashan'. And that is because of Rujuta, I followed her instructions," she said.

The 32-year-old actress is a part of a nutrition documentary DVD film 'Indian Food Wisdom and The Art of Eating Right', by famous celebrity nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar.

Kareena reveals that she is a vegetarian. Her husband actor Saif Ali Khan, who is also part of this DVD, likes to eat meat but rarely.

"Nawabi food is rich in meat so I opt for dal or paneer while Saif eats mutton. I don't eat meat," she adds.

Kareena feels older actresses like Madhubala and others were beautiful because they ate simple food.

Big Patch-up 2: After SRK-Sallu, now Bebo and PC end war!

Seems like it's the season of reconciliations in Bollywood. After Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan buried the hatchet recently by hugging at a party, looks like the two leading ladies of Bollywood, Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor have also mended fences.

According to reports, once best friends-turned-foes, Priyanka and Kareena were recently shooting in the same studio next to each other. While Kareena was shooting for a commercial, Priyanka was filming for the upcoming Mary Kom biopic.

But when Kareena was done with her work and was walking back to her car, Priyanka came out of her vanity van and personally greeted the Heroine.

The actors then chatted for some time before going back to what they were doing.

Kareena along with her elder sister Karisma also attended the condolence meeting of Priyanka's father last month.

We hope the actresses have cleared all their past differences and are now looking forward to a new friendship.

Kareena Kapoor to endorse Colgate?

If there is any actress who can justify the 'Numero Uno' tag in tinsel town today, then, it has to be the one and only Kareena Kapoor, who has become a trend setter of sorts with everything that she does.

The fact that she gives every film and every brand that she endorses an added extra edge, all the filmmakers and brand managers queue up to sign her.  reliable sources say that Kareena Kapoor has now been signed up as the brand ambassador of Colgate.

Bebo Travels Across The World In 24 Hours

Mumbai: After wrapping up the birthday celebrations of her sister Karisma in London, Kareena Kapoor Khan flew to Los Angeles to join her husband Saif Ali Khan, who has been shooting his next film there. However, the actress had to take a break between her romances and fly back to Mumbai for a day to wrap up some pending work for her upcoming film.

According to sources, Bebo was summoned back to the city to finish shooting for a music track for Punit Malhotra’s next. Like a thorough professional, the actress caught the first flight out to join the rest of the crew on Punit’s sets.

A unit-hand says, “Kareena was enjoying her time with Saif in LA. But a song sequence was remaining for Gori Tere Pyaar Mein. After completing her work, Bebo has flown back to LA.” Confirms Kareena’s spokesperson, “Yes, Kareena was in LA where Saif is currently shooting. After she wrapped up her song schedule, she has gone back to the US.”
