Bigg Boss 7: Tanisha's family not happy with her feelings for Armaan

Written By Unknown on Friday, 18 October 2013 | 06:53

A source informs that Kajol, her mom Tanuja and Ajay Devgn are not at all happy about her romantic feelings towards Armaan Kohli on the reality showBigg Boss.

A member of the family has apparently called the channel and requested that they stop focusing so much on this budding love story. Which is perhaps what made host Salman Khan warn Ms. Mukherji that there are 84 cameras on them all the time in the house.

This was perhaps his way of reminding her that everything is being caprtured and that she should be careful about her image. But she seems to care too much about the new object of her affection and is carrying on as usual.

I am lazy, Two Films A Year Is Enough For Me : Kajol

Written By Unknown on Sunday, 15 September 2013 | 02:16

Actress Kajol, who is now set to make another comeback to the big screen, says she is a lazy actor. Kajol, 39, took a sabbatical from full-time acting in 2001 and returned to films with the 2006 romantic thriller 'Fanaa'. But, afterwards she was only seen in cameo appearances.

She was last seen in a prominent role in Karan Johar's home production 'We Are Family' (2010).

"I am lazy... I can't do more work or films beyond some extent. Two films a year is enough for me so that I feel I am working. I don't think of any film as mine till I start shooting for it. After I start working then it is mine... It is a healthy attitude," Kajol said.

Asked what keeps her in demand despite not being in the limelight, Kajol said, "May be I am away from work, that is why I am in demand. I am working for more than 20 years, but I have done little work, handful of films. There are others who do three times or four times more films than I do."

And now she is set to return with husband Ajay Devgn's home production.

"It is a nice script and story but nothing to talk about it as of now.... It is too premature," she says.

But she also added that she will not be seen regularly in films as family is her priority now.

"Definitely I will not do films regularly. I will take time off. I don't want to do film just for the heck of it. I have a full life; I have a husband, two kids, house, a production company and other things.

"So for me to take out time and do a film that means that film needs to have something strong... I need to believe in this film and I will do wonders with it," she said.

As to Ajay's production company, she says she is creatively involved, but not into the nitty-gritty. And though she is not an avid movie-goer, she does not miss her husband's films.

"I enjoy all his work... He is a fabulous and fine actor. He does a variety of films like Satyagraha, Golmaal, Singham. I respect him a lot as an actor. He has the courage to do different things which I don't think any other actor can claim."

"He was not comfortable with comedy initially before Golmaal, but now he is. He has done a variety of roles. I can't think of a role that I can't cast him in, he convinces you in every role he does," Kajol said.

Kajol confirms Bollywood comeback with Ajay Devgan's next

Written By Unknown on Thursday, 29 August 2013 | 02:08

Bollywood fans who grew up watching multiple reruns of Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge (1995) have a reason to rejoice. While Shah Rukh Khan has been going strong on the big screen, Kajol has stayed away for it for the last few years.

Until now, that is. In a recent interview to HT Café,

Ajay Devgn revealed that Kajol will feature in a film that he will produce. Now, Kajol confirms the news, saying, “Yes, I’m in Ajay’s next film. We have finalised a script. Now, hopefully, it will start soon.”

The actor was last seen in the Karan Johar-produced dud, We Are Family (2010).

Thereafter, she took a long sabbatical following the birth of her son, Yug. Now, however, she is set to make a comeback.

Ajay, however, won’t be acting in his home production. Is it a conscious decision? “We won’t be doing the film together because that’s what the script demands.” Kajol is unwilling to share any further details right now. “Wait for the announcement,” she says.

Happy Birthday Kajol !!

Born on August 5, 1974 Kajol is a successful Bollywood star. She is the daughter of yesteryear actor Tanuja and film director Shomu Mukherjee. Known for her incredible silverscreen success and commendable acting, Kajol created a niche for herself in the industry.

At 16, when she was studying at the St Joseph’s Convent school in Panchgani, Kajol got her first Bollywood break. Director Rahul Rawail of Arjun fame cast Kajol in Bekhudi. Subsequently, Kajol bagged her second lead role opposite Shahrukh Khan in Baazigar. The film was a major success and Kajol became a known name. Though not striking enough in the conventional manner, the actor’s vivaciousness, her energetic persona and effortless acting skills made her an instant success.

After Baazigar, this light-eyed actor went on to work with Shahrukh Khan in movies such asKaran Arjun, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hain, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham andMy Name Is Khan. Her pairing with SRK became one of the most appreciated jodis of the silver screen.

She has worked in more than 35 Hindi films and has bagged six Filmfare awards, the highest by any female actor ever in the industry. In 2011, the Government of India honoured Kajol with the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian honour in the country, for her contribution to Indian cinema.

Kajol married actor Ajay Devgn in 1997 and is blessed with a ten-year-old daughter Nysa and three-year-old son Yug. Kajol describes motherhood as a fabulous experience and also believes that it brings out the best in her. It’s been quite some time since this talented star was seen on the silverscreen last though she has been making her spirited presence felt through some really noteworthy commercials on the small screen. Much like her ardent fans and cinegoers, we too at BollywoodLife have been missing Kajol’s liveliness and wish to see her soon on the silverscreen.

We wish Kajol on a very special day of her life. You too can send in your wishes!

DDLJ's 9th print in 13 years!!!

Written By Unknown on Wednesday, 17 July 2013 | 13:48

The first time teaming up of Aditya Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, is running in its 13th year at Maratha Mandir cinema in Bombay.

The film entered its 679th week in Bombay on 17th October 2008, which means that it recently entered its 14th year in Bombay. But since it was released at Maratha Mandir a few weeks after its premiere release, it is in its 13th year at Maratha Mandir. And in these 13 years, eight prints of the film have been changed. The film is being screened with the ninth print currently. Of course, it goes without saying that the film yields a share every week even now!

Well, that must be another addition to the innumerable records that DDLJ already has.
