Aamir Khan wants his callers to groove to Dhoom 3

There are different ways to promote a film and superstar Aamir Khan, known for innovation, plans to pitch for "Dhoom 3" by using the music of the movie as his caller tune.

Why not? The star is thrilled with action-thriller's music which is likely to come out by November end.

"Aamir is keen to use the music as his caller tune. He usually does not keep any caller tune. However, his excitement over the songs of 'Dhoom 3' is very high," said a source.

"He is keen to share the music with everyone who reaches out to him and hence the idea of using it as a caller tune", the source added.

Can’t say if 'Krrish 3' will surpass 'Chennai Express' collections: Hrithik Roshan!!!

Ever since Chennai Express set the cash registers ringing and earned a mammoth Rs. 225 crores at the domestic box office, trade pundits have been predicting that Krrish 3and Dhoom 3 are the films that can beat the record set by the Shahrukh Khan-starrer. On the sidelines of the GQ Men of the Year Awards 2013 (See photos), when a reporter asked Hrithik Roshan if ‘Krrish 3’ will break the previous box office records, the dapper actor replied: “See, whether this film will break box office records or not, I cannot say that. But we have worked really hard on the film and like we always say, we leave it to destiny now. All the best to all of us.” Congratulating GQ India on its fifth anniversary, Hrithik Roshan said: “A very happy fifth birthday to GQ. The contribution of GQ to this world is unimaginable; more than we realize, actually. The kind of variety and the kind of guidance that they give us, aspiring people who want to learn about style, is immeasurable...so I just wanna thank GQ.” Looking handsome in a suit, Hrithik Roshan sported a ponytail at the award function. The Fiery New Poster Of 'Dhoom 3' Revealed !!

Yash Raj Films today released the new poster of their upcoming film Dhoom 3 and while the first poster of the flick only showcased the back of its antagonist Aamir Khan, the new one features all the lead actors of the movie.

The poster is shown burning, with flames also blazing its stars. However, fire is not the only hot thing in the poster... Helping it set ablaze is also the leading lady of the movie Katrina Kaif, who is seen sporting a sexy crop top and shorts. Aamir, Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra too look dapper in the second poster of the much-anticipated movie.

Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, the film is slated to release on December 20, this year.

Dhoom:3: Another secret is out – Spoiler alert!!!!

Aamir Khan playing a negative role in Dhoom 3 was indeed one hell of a secret. But now we have yet another secret relating to the upcoming action flick. Read on to find out…

Since the buzz about third installment of action flick Dhoom has started surfacing, we have got many updates that made us go bonkers. First we heard that Aamir Khan will be a part of Dhoom 3. Then we got to know that he will play a baddie in the film and now if the reports are to be believed, he will be playing a dual role in the film. Yes, you read it right. It will be a twin-twin situation in the action thriller.

This is the first time Aamir will be playing a double role in his career. If sources are to be believed, Aamir’s has an ailing brother in the film which is the main reason why Aamir’s character becomes negative.

Dhoom:3 which is all set to release this year also stars Katrina Kaif, Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra.

Well, after this, one thing is sure. Aamir’s fans are surely in for a treat.

Aamir's Dhoom 3 vs Hrithik's Krrish 3: Which will be film of year?

Two of this year’s most anticipated films (and sure-shot blockbusters) — Dhoom 3 and Krrish 3 will be releasing on Diwali and Christmas respectively. Both the films are sequels to big brands and both have big stars at the helm. It will also be Aamir and Hrithik’s first release in 2013. And they are both supremely confident of their films.

Says an insider, “The usually cautious Aamir has been telling people, ‘Mark my words — if there’s one film this year that will break all records, it will be Dhoom 3. It will gross over

Rs 300 or 400 crore. He’s that confident of Dhoom 3. And he has all reason to be. This is also the first time he is playing a baddie on screen. This film will appeal to the youth, as it is slick and stylish.” Meanwhile, Krrish 3 has already created a huge buzz with the trailer. It is a film that kids will love. Family audience will be flocking for this one, so huge numbers are guaranteed. But the question is which film will be bigger?

Aamir will break the record!
Says trade analyst Komal Nahta, “It’s difficult to comment on that as I feel both will be huge hits. They are both big brands. Dhoom 3 has Aamir Khan as an anti-hero, the Aamir-Katrina combination, and the Yash Raj banner and the expertise of Aditya Chopra. Krrish 3 has the Krissh brand, Rakesh Roshan, Hrithik and their banner. Hrithik is a huge craze amongst the kids.” He feels that Aamir will break his previous held unbroken record of 3 Idiots, “I think he can break the record. Firstly, because Dhoom 3 is a huge franchise. Secondly, times have changed. The admission rates at theatres have shot up and there are lot many theatres now. Both Dhoom 3and Krrish 3 will definitely cross over Rs 200 crores.”

The Krrish 3 edge
Says trade analyst Amod Mehra, “We haven’t seen the trailer of Dhoom 3 so it’s a bit early to comment on that film, yet as far as expectations are concerned, I think Krrish 3 has a slight edge over Dhoom 3 because D3 is an established brand and the audience knows what to expect. Hrithik has already been established as a superhero in the earlier Krrish 1 and 2 so now people expect D3 to be a full fun film where the audience comprises family and children. They will come to see something different than the usual robbery, thrills and chases of Dhoom series.

Also, Krrish 3 has a super villain for the first time. It is looking more exciting, polished and of international standard so I would say K3 has an edge of five per cent over D3. Rakesh Roshan is one of the most under-rated filmmakers. In Dhoom 3 what we are expecting to see is Aamir Khan who is expected to carry the film on his shoulders. Both films can gross anything between Rs 210-225 crores each. Each has that achievable target. Both have strong content.”

Katrina Out of YRF Camp For Upsetting Aditya?

It seems that after Katrina Kaif and her alleged boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor's holiday pictures grabbed eyeballs, the actress has been in news for all wrong reasons.

According to the latest reports, Katrina offended her godfather Aditya Chopra by putting up clauses in front of the film-maker.

Aditya approached Katrina to act in Gunday which will see Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor as lead characters. The Barbie doll insisted that the film should have one superstar which didn't go well with Aditya.

The director-producer gave Katrina films like Ek Tha Tiger, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, New York and soon the actress will also be seen in YRF's one of the most awaited films Dhoom 3. Aditya was not expecting Katrina to throw tantrums on him, but gracefully accept the offer. However, Katrina behaved against it and soon Priyanka Chopra gave a nod to the film.

According to sources, Piggy Chops has become Aditya's favourite and made a special place for herself in YRF camp.

In the past, when Katrina expressed her discomfort about wearing a bikini in Dhoom 3, Aditya made special changes for the actress and she is one actress, who has worked in five films in the production house.

Dhoom 3: Motion Poster Launch

First look and motion poster of much awaited film Dhoom 3 is out.

The poster shows Aamir Khan from back with a tagline - "This year will end with a Dhoom".

Aamir is playing an antagonist for the first time in "Dhoom 3", the third instalment of the "Dhoom" franchise that started in 2004. In the first two films, John Abraham and Hrithik Roshan played villains, respectively.

The movie will cast Aamir as a super thief who uses acrobatic skills to pull off heists. Katrina will plays his partner in crime and also his love interest.

Abhishek Bachchan returns in his cop's role, chasing the super villain, with Uday Chopra as his sidekick.

Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, the film will have Christmas release.

Shuuuu !!! Post-production is super hush-hush for Dhoom 3

You’ve heard of producers and directors banning cell phones on sets to prevent a film’s look from being leaked out. You’ve also heard of newcomers being kept under wraps and actors being asked not to talk about their roles before a release.


However, in a first of sorts, the makers of Dhoom 3 have gone to tremendous lengths to keep the film’s first trailer and poster a secret.

According to sources close to the production house, Aditya Chopra (producer) has created a special room where work on the film’s trailer and poster is on. And just three or four people are allowed access to it. The insider says, “One has to go through three-tier security to get into this chamber. Plus, the main door is password protected and it changes every day to prevent unauthorised access.”

“Of course, Aamir (Khan; lead actor) and Aditya are always allowed. Besides them, only two other people from the team (those actively working on the trailer and the poster) are authorised to go in,” the insider adds. No one else from the production house or the marketing team is even aware of when the trailer or poster will come out. “Aditya is the one who takes all the final decisions, but Aamir is always kept in the loop,” the insider says.

Although, overall, the makers have been tight-lipped about the third part of the action franchise, a couple of days back, Aamir’s Facebook post revealed that the film’s final cut was ready: “Guys, I just finished seeing the final cut of Dhoom 3 and I cannot wait for you all to watch it. Suddenly Christmas seems too far away (sic),” Aamir wrote.

When contacted, the film’s spokesperson only chose to say: “We are not allowed to divulge any details on the film.”

Keeping the mask on
Apparently, the Roshans are also keeping the post-production work — including VFX (visual effects) and editing — on Krrish 3 a secret. They too want to ensure that no information on the movie is leaked out. They have converted the Shah Rukh Khan-owned production house’s office in Khar (where the editing is taking place) into a fortress of sorts. Apparently, even employees who work there aren’t allowed inside without prior permission from Hrithik Roshan.

Katrina Kaif prays for ‘Dhoom 3’ success! Is Fatehpur Sikri lucky for her?

Katrina Kaif has once again visited the holy shrine of Salim Chishti in Fatehpur Sikri this week. The actress is a devotee and whenever possible comes to the shrine to pray and seek blessings. This is her fifth visit to the dargah. 

Has a visit to the Sufi shrine of Sheikh Salim Chisti here become a must for Katrina Kaif before the release of her film? Is the shrine proving lucky for the actress? 

Katrina visited Fatehpur Sikri, about 35 km from Agra, Thursday and offered prayers and quickly left before anyone could know about her visit. 

Dressed in white, Katrina Kaif covered her face with a white scarf, according to Saif Faridi, the shrine in charge. She offered a chadar, and reportedly prayed for her forthcoming film Dhoom 3. 

According to guides, she also prayed for the success of Jewel of India, another film slated for release later this year.

Katrina Kaif's Journey In B-Town

The babe turns 29 and we hope she has a wonderful, rocking birthday with her special ones.

Born on July 16, 1984, Katrina Kaif started her career with Boom, which unfortunately was doomed at the BO. The babe’s stint in Bollywood has been quite an interesting one since. From leaving a bad taste in our mouths with Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya to surprising us with a bohemian role in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, KK has done it all. She has acted (wait…did we say ‘acted’?) in a Yash Chopra film (Jab Tak Hai Jaan) and got away with not showing a single trace of emotion. But again we overlook all of that, as we loved the sweet and edgy character she played in Mere Brother Ki Dulhan…That’s Kat for you – she can irritate you with her expressionless face and then suddenly, out of the blue, she will pull a rabbit out of her well-preserved style coffers, appear in an out and out stylish avatar and give us something really cool to remember (cases in point: Raajneeti, Chikni Chameli item song).

Style: The babe usually keeps it simple. She goes all high street every once in awhile, but you never see her going edgy and neon-ish. When the young (and the not so young) Bollywood chicks are playing around with those bright scarlet shades, shocking pink shoes and avant-garde creations, Kaif is still very laidback (or should we say ‘old-school’?) in terms of style. She likes her makeup nude – a gown or a saree for a glam occasion… and viola! Kaif is ready with her hassle free statement. We would love to see her in cropped tops, flowing palazzos, jumpsuits – there’s so much out there to choose from; the Chikni Chameli just needs to have some hardcore style fun.

Love life: Kaif left the beefy hunk Salman Khan or the young and peppy Ranbir Kapoor. And looks like the two are going pretty strong (as strong as KK’s love for robotic expressions, perhaps?). The two were in Ibiza recently, having a gala time at a concert. KK’s b’day has definitely started on a romantic note…we hope a certain Tiger doesn’t spread raita over her lovey-dovey plans with Ranbir.

Movies: We really want to see her act (c’mon, it’s been more than ten years already!). Give us a performance that blows us away and we won’t ever point fingers at your thespian skills again, KK. She will be seen in Dhoom:3 and Bang Bang next year. And we hope the action scenes are spicy and the romantic ones are full of emotion, or else we can already see your future Kat – in the Go Goa Gone sequel as one of those spooky, blood sucking zombies.

Aamir Khan forced sick Katrina Kaif to shoot

Katrina Kaif Has understood the consequence of shooting with the perfectionist of Bollywood, Aamir Khan. Despite ill health, Kat had to report on the set of Yash Raj Films ‘Dhoom 3’ set and all this is because of Aamir Khan. Aamir has given his dates for the shoot and hence Kat has to abide.

A source says, “Kat’s been down with viral fever. Last seen at Arjun Kapoor’s birthday party, she was resting at home as she was feeling weak. But thanks to Aamir, the actress is now back at the YRF studio for the shoot schedule.

Aamir had already allotted his dates.”We heard from those close to her that her hectic schedule is to blame for her health woes. “However, Kat didn’t want Aamir’s dates to be wasted,” adds the source. 

“Kat’s been down with viral fever. She was resting at home as she was feeling weak. But because of Aamir she is now back for the shoot schedule,” a source told a Mumbai tabloid.

'Dhoom 3' is an high octane action thriller. The film will see both Aamir and Katrina doing some dare devil stunts. Aamir Khan has undergone rigorous training to get into the role. The movie promises triple dose of action, emotions, romance and thrill.

The film will be a Christmas bonanza and set to release in December. Abhishek Bachcahn and Uday Choprawill reprise the role of Jay and Ali.

Uday Chopra turns Ali yet again for Dhoom:3

Dhoom:3 is one of the most awaited action flicks of the year. Aamir Khan will don the hat of a baddie in this high octane drama. Interestingly the villains in the Dhoomfranchise have always stolen the thunder

If John Abraham looked macho in the first part, Hrithik Roshan stepped up the hotness quotient in the sequel with his killer looks and incredible stunts. The real hero (Abhishek Bachchan that is) has always been overshadowed by the baddie. And now all eyes are set on Mr Perfectionist to know what he does to take this installment a step further.

But there’s one actor who’s been retained all through – and that is Uday Chopra. The Chopra scion has been out of action (and our collective minds) for quite some time now. But now even he’s gearing up to make the best of this opportunity to make his presence felt. Uday posted this video online to show how quickly he can don the character of Ali. While Aamir, Katrina Kaif and AB Junior are sweating it out to play their respective roles, Uday has opted for an easy route.
