Ready to playback for any actress : Priyanka Chopra

Actress Priyanka Chopra, who is now also popular for her singing skills, says she would love to playback for other heroines. She feels it would be a fun experience.

"I want to playback for some other heroine. I think it will be very interesting. If I like the song, I am okay with (doing) it, but I should like the song. I am ready to playback for any actress," Priyanka said here.

"I think it will be fun and very exciting," she added.

The actress, who will next be seen in "Krrish 3", has been experimenting with different genres of films because she likes to take risks.

"I want to do different things. I am a risk-taker I want to be a game changer in my personal career. I don't want to follow anybody's footsteps. I did music... I want to change the game. Maybe I will fail, but at least I want to try," she said.

So far, Priyanka has launched two international singles - "In my city" and "Exotic"

MUMBAI: In the recent times Priyanka Chopra has not been in the news for the right reasons.

Firstly Omung Kumar had issues with her as she was ‘interfering too much’ in the creative process of ‘Mary Kom’, secondly ‘Zanjeer’s’ fate at the box office, her alleged affair with Shah Rukh Khan, issues with director Karan Johar – well the list is endless.

If this was not enough Priyanka Chopra’s absence in the first trailer launch of ‘Krrish 3’ has also raised quite a lot of eyebrows.

Apparently Priyanka has been busy with her singing career in Hollywood and that was the reason sited form her absence. However, Priyanka did appear in a video to congratulate the team on the launch of the trailer of ‘Krrish 3’ but that was that.

If sources are to be believed then Priyanka Chopra has refused to be seen publicly with co-star Kangana Ranaut who plays a mutant named Kaaya in ‘Krrish 3′, weeks before the release of the film.

This is not the first time that both Priyanka Chopra and Kangana Ranaut have worked together. They were seen sharing screen space in Madhur Bhandarkar’s 2008 film ‘Fashion’, which fetched both the ladies a National Award each for their performances.

Priyanka won the National Award for Best Actress as small town girl-turned-supermodel Meghna and Kangana won the National Award for Best Supporting Actress for her scene-stealing portrayal as drug-addicted, troubled supermodel Shonali.

Recently in an article it was reported that Priyanka was not happy with the length of her role in ‘Krrish 3’.

Priyanka will be seen in a leading role, romancing the superhero ‘Krrish’ played by Hrithik Roshan, while Kangana will be seen in a negative, supporting role. But herein lies the twist. Playing the damsel in distress is hardly exciting. There’s only so much for the leading lady to do other than be rescued by the knight in black leather. Kangana, on the other hand, is more than a pretty face – she plays a mutant and that provides the actor in her with a huge canvas to play with.

Priyanka may have ‘Gunday’ and ‘The Mary Kom’ biopic in her kitty, but she has probably seen the first cut of ‘Krrish 3’ and realized that Kangana’s mutant could perhaps be the talking point of 2013′s most awaited film.

There is still some time before ‘Krrish 3’ hits the screens worldwide. We’ll soon see how the events unfold as the many rounds of promotions still remain.

Kangna Ranaut likes variety, may it be in the salad she munches on or the cup she drinks her tea in. Waiting for the release of two largely diverse movies, the actress speaks to HitList about various things. Excerpts of the interview.

You make headlines for your style choices...
I don't do it for people to judge me. I am a very stylish person. I like dressing well. I like eating fancy food and my house too is a testimony of that. If I think that my salad is not very fancy, I will go out and get it myself. I will buy my own salad and dressing. I can't drink tea in the same cup everyday either. I like to have variety and style in every thing I do.


You've been often accused of throwing tantrums on the sets...
Yes I know, but I am okay with it. I am quite a moody person, so many people think that I throw tantrums. I like doing things, which are out of the box. I wish I could do something different all the time. I like being a diva and trying new things. I know such rumours come with being a star. Some of those stories are too cute.

Are you happy being single at the moment? 
Why do people want me to get married? No, I am in a very happy space. I am not looking forward to getting into a relationship at the moment. I enjoy being a single woman and I don't think I want to get married, at least for now.


How is your debut direction coming along? 
Yes, I am looking to start the venture next year. I have written a script with an Australian writer but the casting is taking a lot of time. Hopefully it should be done soon. As actresses, we are very busy. But sometimes, we also pretend to look busy. But we do get time to pursue our hobbies.

Do you feel you have got your due as an actress? 
Earlier I used to feel so. But after I got the kind of roles I am doing in 'Krrish 3', 'Rajjo' or 'Queen', my opinion has changed and I have evolved as a person. I feel my acting graph is going up and I am in a very happy space.


But you had initially rejected 'Krrish 3'. 
I had a bad experience when 'Kites' released and I was very hurt by what had happened. Anurag Basu was a close friend and at that time I did not even talk to Hrithik or Rakeshji about it.

I felt that if Anurag had chopped my role, he should have told me, so that I could have mentally prepared myself for it. Before reading the script of 'Krrish 3', I rejected the film, considering my past experience. But even then, the Roshans were good to me. I started regretting my decision. But Rakeshji approached me for the film again and this time I said yes right away.


Was it tough playing a mutant?
I had to understand the role right and then had to prep for it. And of course, the make-up, the look, the costumes and the hair... It was a huge task to maintain the look and also to get into those costumes.

Hrithik's Grandfather is his lucky mascot

Hrithik Roshan comes from a film family and considers his grandfather, filmmaker J.Om Prakash, his lucky mascot.

It was his grandfather who had called the first shot for his debut film Kaho Na... Pyaar Hai, which turned out to be a huge success at the box office.

So the 39-year-old, who is eagerly waiting for the release of his superhero film, Krrish 3, insisted that his grandfather give the first clap for this one too.

"Hrithik hopes that this time also he is accepted by the audience as he has been in the past," said a source close to the actor.

Directed by Rakesh Roshan, the film also stars Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut and Vivek Oberoi in pivotal roles and is set to release on November 1.

Microsoft launches 'Krrish 3' game for Windows smartphones and PCs

Microsoft today launched official 'Krrish 3' game which would be available on Windows tablets smartphones, and laptops and is based on Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan-starrer 'Krrish 3' movie releasing next month. 

The game has been developed by Hungama Digital Media Entertainment and Gameshastra, Microsoft said in a release.

"The game gives a real taste of all the Krrish 3 action with multiple characters, numerous weapons and amazing graphics," the release said.

The game is available for Windows smartphones now, while for tablets and PCs users can download it by the end of the week from Windows Store, it said.

Set against the backdrop of Mumbai, the game has six levels, three of which are set in the old city and three in the newer parts of Mumbai.

A user can choose to fight as one of the four movie characters - Krrish, Kaal, Kaaya, and Frogman.

"Krrish 3 is our most ambitious project till date and I want everyone to have the best Krrish experience," Hrithik Roshan said.

Speaking on the release of the game, Amrish Goyal, General Manager, Windows Business Group, Microsoft India said, "Over the next few months, Windows users can look forward to many more such exclusive and exciting experiences."

Kangana Ranaut : Single but not getting married soon

In no rush to get hitched any time soon, actress Kangana Ranaut on Monday said she would prefer the virtue of honesty in her potential partner.

The 26-year-old, who is single at the moment, does not, however, believe in a "list of qualities" to look out for in her man.

"I don't look for a list of qualities in a man, but I would prefer someone who is honest and open-minded," she said during the opening of the Adrija Jewellery showroom opening here.

Quizzed on her status, she replied: "Yes, I am single and no, I am not getting married anytime soon."

Kangana is busy promoting her forthcoming film -- the Hrithik Roshan-starrer Krrish 3 -- and is looking forward to an impressive line-up of films like Ungli, Queen, Rajjo and Revolver Rani.

She made her debut in 2006 with Gangster - A Love Story and won the National Award for best supporting actress for her performance as a troubled model in the 2008 release Fashion.

When she was first approached for the role of a supergirl in Krrish 3, Kangana Ranaut was skeptical and hence said no. But when she was asked for the second time, the actress wasn’t hesitant to give it a shot. Actor Hrithik Roshan and director Rakesh Roshan were confident about Kangana as the female mutant in the film.

Actress Kangana Ranaut always wanted to play characters with the qualities of a 'supergirl'. She says her dream has come true thanks to her roles in forthcoming movies like "Queen", "Revolver Rani" and "Krrish 3".

"I am already playing my dream role in 'Revolver Rani', 'Queen' and 'Krrish 3'. I always wanted to play a supergirl and I am getting to do that. So it's a dream come true," Kangana Ranaut said during the cover photoshoot for Cine Blitz magazine.

As we all await for more images and updates from the upcoming Indian superhero movie Krrish 3, Hrithik Roshan and Rakesh Roshan have found themselves some spare time to make a quick trip to Singapore. This was a two-day trip for the father and son duo. The two feel that the Krrish series holds a special significance for the beautiful city of Singapore and that is why they visited the city.

A lot of scenes in Krrish 3 have been shot in Singapore and Hrithik did not want to miss out on visiting the place. Therefore he made a quick presence at a school named Global International School in Singapore. There, he answered various questions that were asked by students in the city.



During this interactive session, a student asked the Hrithik what was his most disliked subject in school. Hrithik quickly replied and said, "I hated history because I felt what relevance these incidents made to us in the present. But now when I do films I realise that these films will create history and so it is important."

Speaking about family values, Hrithik spoke about his sons. "My sons would have been joyed to see how the students dance to my songs here in Singapore. I know I keep busy but it is important to make time for family because they are more important to me than anything else," he said.

Aamir's Dhoom 3 vs Hrithik's Krrish 3: Which will be film of year?

Two of this year’s most anticipated films (and sure-shot blockbusters) — Dhoom 3 and Krrish 3 will be releasing on Diwali and Christmas respectively. Both the films are sequels to big brands and both have big stars at the helm. It will also be Aamir and Hrithik’s first release in 2013. And they are both supremely confident of their films.

Says an insider, “The usually cautious Aamir has been telling people, ‘Mark my words — if there’s one film this year that will break all records, it will be Dhoom 3. It will gross over

Rs 300 or 400 crore. He’s that confident of Dhoom 3. And he has all reason to be. This is also the first time he is playing a baddie on screen. This film will appeal to the youth, as it is slick and stylish.” Meanwhile, Krrish 3 has already created a huge buzz with the trailer. It is a film that kids will love. Family audience will be flocking for this one, so huge numbers are guaranteed. But the question is which film will be bigger?

Aamir will break the record!
Says trade analyst Komal Nahta, “It’s difficult to comment on that as I feel both will be huge hits. They are both big brands. Dhoom 3 has Aamir Khan as an anti-hero, the Aamir-Katrina combination, and the Yash Raj banner and the expertise of Aditya Chopra. Krrish 3 has the Krissh brand, Rakesh Roshan, Hrithik and their banner. Hrithik is a huge craze amongst the kids.” He feels that Aamir will break his previous held unbroken record of 3 Idiots, “I think he can break the record. Firstly, because Dhoom 3 is a huge franchise. Secondly, times have changed. The admission rates at theatres have shot up and there are lot many theatres now. Both Dhoom 3and Krrish 3 will definitely cross over Rs 200 crores.”

The Krrish 3 edge
Says trade analyst Amod Mehra, “We haven’t seen the trailer of Dhoom 3 so it’s a bit early to comment on that film, yet as far as expectations are concerned, I think Krrish 3 has a slight edge over Dhoom 3 because D3 is an established brand and the audience knows what to expect. Hrithik has already been established as a superhero in the earlier Krrish 1 and 2 so now people expect D3 to be a full fun film where the audience comprises family and children. They will come to see something different than the usual robbery, thrills and chases of Dhoom series.

Also, Krrish 3 has a super villain for the first time. It is looking more exciting, polished and of international standard so I would say K3 has an edge of five per cent over D3. Rakesh Roshan is one of the most under-rated filmmakers. In Dhoom 3 what we are expecting to see is Aamir Khan who is expected to carry the film on his shoulders. Both films can gross anything between Rs 210-225 crores each. Each has that achievable target. Both have strong content.”

I Finally Understand Bollywood : PC

The 31-year-old former Miss World, who is doing commercially viable films like Zanjeer, Krrish 3, Gunday and Mary Kom biopic, says she finally understands the industry.

Priyanka Chopra is happy to have made her way to the top in Bollywood without the help of any godfather and the actress says she is finally at a place where she is being offered challenging roles.

The 31-year-old former Miss World, who is doing commercially viable films likeZanjeer, Krrish 3,Gunday and Mary Kom biopic, says she finally understands the industry.

"I have never been to any acting school and didn't have any clue when I joined. I didn't have a godfather or boyfriend to guide me. I was 18-year-old and it took me a few year to understand the industry.

"I am very fortunate that in the last few years, I have reached a point where filmmakers can see me playing all kind of role. So, now I want to have a mix bag of all kind of cinema," Priyanka said.

In her two upcoming films -- Krrish 3 and Zanjeer, the focus is more on the male leads but Priyanka decided to take up the projects because she liked the script.

"Krrish and Zanjeer are both boy films. But I had no apprehension about being a part of these films because I love to watch them. I am very spontaneous and I do films if I like the script. I don't consider other things." The Barfi! star is the brand ambassador of NDTV's initiative 'Our Girls Our Pride'. Priyanka says her upbringing helped her to understand the campaign in a better way.

"The cause of the girl child has been very close to my heart. My mother is a gynaecologist and my father was a doctor. Since my childhood, I have seen my mother with women and children and she has been a huge influence in my life also. Our sex ratio is 840 girls out of 1000 boys, which is really absurd," said Priyanka, who is also the Goodwill ambassador at UNICEF.

Priyanka, however, wants to keep her movie career and her charity work separate.

Asked whether she would like to take up the cause in her films, the actress said, "No, that would be very unfair. Movies are entertainment and they are fiction. What I do as a person is very different to what I do as an actor. I don't think it is right to put that kind of pressure on movie business. Nobody watches such films. Let's be realistic and not be delusional about it."

Priyanka, who now has a budding international music career, is also looking forward to the release of Disney's animated film Planes.

"I am lucky to be a part of Disney and I think it is every girl's dream to act in a film by them. I am really excited for Planes. It will release on August 23 in India."

Kangana Ranaut's uber chic look in Krrish 3: A cross between anime and sci-fi

While Kangana Ranaut took everyone by surprise with her latest avatar in Krrish 3, very few know that a lot of effort was put into achieving the desired look for the film.

The body suit that Kangana sports in the film, which audiences managed to catch a glimpse of in the official trailer of Krrish 3, was designed by Gavin Miguel. The all-rubber latex body suit took over 45 days to create for which over 25 sketches were drawn up.

Designer Gavin worked closely with director Rakesh Roshan on the look and design of the outfit that was structured and customized to suit Kangana's body type.

If that wasn't all, the actress had to shed over 4 kgs to fit into the suit apart from several oiling sessions to ensure that the body suit allowed her flexibility in movement.

All praise for Kangana says designer Gavin. "Latex is very tough to work with especially in a film. Wearing it for long gruelling hours can be stressful and overwhelming. Kangana, however, was true to her character and bore a lot of hardships in that costume. Coming early on shoots, getting her body fixed in that costume took a clean 2 hrs. And then to be in that with terrible weather conditions. I think she is possibly the only one who could have endured this."

Says Kangana, "Sporting such a look has been extremely challenging for me. Apart from being chic and flexible, we needed a look that wasn't attempted before in Bollywood. Though a lot of hardwork went behind it, it was all worth the effort since the feedback has been overwhelming".

The suspense is finally over. After weeks of speculations, it is now confirmed that the first theatrical promo of one of the biggest Hindi films ever made, KRRISH 3, would be out with CHENNAI EXPRESS. 


"Yes, that's correct," our reliable source informs us, "All formalities have been taken care of and the First Look of the Hrithik Roshan starrer would now be out with the Shahrukh Khan biggie." 

It was around a month back when Rakesh Roshan had expressed keen interest in bringing his sci-fi superhero action thriller with the Rohit Shetty directed affair. Though he had mentioned about being 'in talks' with Shahrukh and UTV (co-producers of the film), Roshan Sr. had also stated that '....launching the trailer with a big film guarantees many eyeballs.' 

Well, his dream is now coming true with the confirmation coming in.

Hrithik Roshan to travel the world for Krrish 3

Hrithik Roshan’s Krrish 3 is one of the most awaited films of the year. Understandably, the actor plans to pull out all stops to promote the third part of the superhero franchise. We have learned that he has kept aside an entire month to promote the film across the world.

An insider close to the project reveals, “Starting from the first week of October, Hrithik will take a month’s break to market the film, right until its release in the first week of November. The idea is to reach out to as many fans as possible during that time, because Rakeshji (Roshan; director) hasn’t started any kind of promotional activity yet. Even Hrithik has been off the media’s radar for a while now, since his last release, Agneepath (2012) was over a year ago.”

Interestingly, Hrithik is expected to travel to places like Dubai, Canada, UK and USA to promoteKrrish 3. “Since he needs to promote the film in India as well as internationally, he will require time for the same,” adds the insider.

The actor is currently busy shooting for Siddharth Anand’s Bang Bang with Katrina Kaif.

He’s also teaming up once again with his Agneepath director, Karan Malhotra, for Shuddhi.

When contacted, Rakesh confirms, “Yes, Hrithik is going to take time off. But other details like the country and locations that he will visit are yet to be worked out.”

Krrish-3 breaks all Digital Records

Hrithik Roshan flew from the US to Hyderabad, to launch the first Bollywood motion poster of his Diwali release, Krrish-3, on Facebook and it was a huge success. In fact, it broke records. Though he was jet lagged, it wass hard for the superstar to contain the excitement in his voice. “I’m honoured,” he says, adding, “It was the birthday of this mammoth social networking platform and they chose to celebrate this momentous occasion with the launch of our poster.”

Hrithik has got crazy response from fans. The number of people who came for chat is 4.15 lacs and number of countries that participated is above 60. There were over 2lakh Krrish 3 tweets and Hrithik has been trending on twitter for 3 days now.

During the record breaking chat, Hrithik answered questions on topics varying from his Krrish franchisee, handling success, hard work, his personal life, his co-actors, family, fatherhood and much more. Hrithik told his fans that his real life superhero is his father – Rakesh Roshan. He went ahead to tell his fans about a few things they can expect in his forthcoming film. Krrish 3 to hit screens on November 4

It's final. Krrish 3 is set to release on November 4, a day after Diwali this year, says filmmaker Rakesh Roshan. 

"Krrish 3 will finally release on November 4, that is Monday," said producer-director Rakesh Roshan confirming the final release date of the film for the first time. 

Rakesh Roshan also confirmed for the first time that the first official trailer of the film would be attached to Rohit Shetty's Chennai Express.

"Yes our trailers will be out on August 8," he added. 

Rakesh and Hrithik Roshan had been in talks to decide the crucial Diwali release date for Krrish 3.

While earlier the film was to be released on Sunday, November 3, which is Diwali, the Roshans were under pressure to postpone the release by a day. 

"The Diwali day, that is November 3, had been locked in for the release. But then distributors and exhibitors felt people like to stay home on Diwali night for Laxmi Puja. It was felt November 4, that is the day after Diwali, would be far more favourable as a release date for Krrish 3," said a source close to the Roshans.

Krrish 3: Hrithik Roshan to unveil first look over Facebook Live Chat

Hritikh fans all over social media have been crying hoarse waiting for their favourite action hero to reappear. The much awaited Krrish 3 first look will be unveiled by the actor himself. Hrithik Roshan will release the motion poster during an interactive chat with fans over Facebook on Thursdayafternoon.

He will also showcase the first look of Krrish 3 during the live video chat. Radio City listeners can ask Hrithik any questions they might have while the chat is on.

Commenting on the initiative, director Rakesh Roshan spoke about the film. "This film is a result of a lot of dedication and creative effort from the entire team.
