Aditya Roy Kapur has been finalised opposite Katrina Kaif in Abhishek Kapoor's next venture "Fitoor" and the love story is likely to go on the floors in the first half of 2014.

"As a filmmaker, I have always invested in new and emerging talent and with his talent and personna, Aditya is right up there," said Kapoor.

"Abhishek Kapoor was looking for a perfect cast for his timeless love story 'Fitoor' and we're glad that he has found them in Aditya and Katrina," Rucha Pathak, senior creative director - studios, Disney UTV, said in a statement.

Earlier, Sushant, who made his debut with Abhishek's Kai Po Che, was supposed to do the role but he left the film due to date problems.

"Sushant wanted to do Shekar Kapur's 'Paani' as well as Abhishek's 'Fitoor'. Sushant requested Abhishek to postpone the date of his film 'Fitoor' but that didn't happen.

The film is a screen adaptation of Charles Dickens’ novel "Great Expectations" and will see Aditya playing 'Pip', who is the narrator as well as protagonist in the novel. Katrina will be seen as rich girl Estella.

The pivotal role of 'Miss Havisham', Estella's mother, is currently being cast and an announcement is expected in the coming weeks

Aamir Khan wants his callers to groove to Dhoom 3

There are different ways to promote a film and superstar Aamir Khan, known for innovation, plans to pitch for "Dhoom 3" by using the music of the movie as his caller tune.

Why not? The star is thrilled with action-thriller's music which is likely to come out by November end.

"Aamir is keen to use the music as his caller tune. He usually does not keep any caller tune. However, his excitement over the songs of 'Dhoom 3' is very high," said a source.

"He is keen to share the music with everyone who reaches out to him and hence the idea of using it as a caller tune", the source added.

The Fiery New Poster Of 'Dhoom 3' Revealed !!

Yash Raj Films today released the new poster of their upcoming film Dhoom 3 and while the first poster of the flick only showcased the back of its antagonist Aamir Khan, the new one features all the lead actors of the movie.

The poster is shown burning, with flames also blazing its stars. However, fire is not the only hot thing in the poster... Helping it set ablaze is also the leading lady of the movie Katrina Kaif, who is seen sporting a sexy crop top and shorts. Aamir, Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra too look dapper in the second poster of the much-anticipated movie.

Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, the film is slated to release on December 20, this year.

Will Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif reunite?

Ex-flames, Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif have recently been in the headlines for their respective love-lives. Lately, rumors have been doing rounds that Sallu and Kat will be shaking a leg in Salman’s brother-in-law, Atul Agnihotri’s film O Teri.

Salman and Kat were last seen in Ek Tha Tiger. The duo have also done an item number in Atul Agnihotri’s Bodyguard. So, will these ex-lovers reunite for yet another item number with Atul Agnihotri?

Atul says, “It’s too early right now as we are still working on the song track. We have not approached Katrina, but Salman has been involved with the project right from the beginning. Katrina has always been with us. She is our well-wisher and a wonderful person, so let’s see how things shape up. In Bodyguard, both of them looked good and it worked.” Hmmm… No smoke without fire, right? Also, is he trying to suggest that Sallu-Kat don’t look good together anymore? Ranbir Kapoor to propose Katrina Kaif on his birthday?

The report further suggests that Ranbir Kapoor is keen on marrying Katrina and might soon come out in public about their relationship, which has kept everyone guessing.

Katrina Out of YRF Camp For Upsetting Aditya?

It seems that after Katrina Kaif and her alleged boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor's holiday pictures grabbed eyeballs, the actress has been in news for all wrong reasons.

According to the latest reports, Katrina offended her godfather Aditya Chopra by putting up clauses in front of the film-maker.

Aditya approached Katrina to act in Gunday which will see Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor as lead characters. The Barbie doll insisted that the film should have one superstar which didn't go well with Aditya.

The director-producer gave Katrina films like Ek Tha Tiger, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, New York and soon the actress will also be seen in YRF's one of the most awaited films Dhoom 3. Aditya was not expecting Katrina to throw tantrums on him, but gracefully accept the offer. However, Katrina behaved against it and soon Priyanka Chopra gave a nod to the film.

According to sources, Piggy Chops has become Aditya's favourite and made a special place for herself in YRF camp.

In the past, when Katrina expressed her discomfort about wearing a bikini in Dhoom 3, Aditya made special changes for the actress and she is one actress, who has worked in five films in the production house.

Always knew Katrina Kaif would be superstar: Kaizad Gustad

aizad Gustad and Katrina Kaif's first film Boom bombed at the box-office but the director says he knew that the hard working actress would make it big in the industry.

Kaizad brought the 30-year-old British Indian actress into films and gave her a new surname Kaif. The director said when he first signed her she could not speak a single word in Hindi.

"I knew that Katrina will be top one actress because she was extremely hardworking and had strong perseverance. Although she was half British, she looked Indian and that's why I signed her for my film. She didn't know a single word in Hindi. I have given her the surname Kaif because KK is lucky for me," Kaizad told PTI.

After the film, Katrina bagged other projects including Sarkar ,Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya, Namastey London among others and gradually made her place to the top.

Amitabh Bachchan's performance in the 2003 film was panned

by the critics but Kaizad said the megastar had enjoyed playing dark and crazy role.

"He was very happy and enjoying the shoot. People didn't like his negative role because Amitji's onscreen image is bigger than his characters. He didn't make any changes in the script and shot it the way it was written," Kaizad said.

Katrina Kaif not confirmed for Dostana 2

The female lead for Karan Johar's Dostana 2 is still uncertain.

The film, goes on floors towards the end of the year.

Deepika Padukone was supposed to be a part of this sequel but no official announcement was made.

However, it is believed that Katrina Kaif will play the lead role inDostana 2 and has kept her dates open from October 2013 to January 2014.

The film will be helmed by Tarun Mansukhani's and John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan will reprise their roles.

But the producers are yet to confirm this.

Sajid Nadiadwala breaks rule for Katrina Kaif, breaks bro code with Salman Khan and signs her for his next film

Producer-director Sajid Nadiadwala (currently directing Kick) has always maintained a strict policy in his career. He has never worked with his buddy Salman Khan’s girlfriendis. Neither when he was dating them, nor after the actor split with them. Even after Salman broke off with his girlfriends, Sajid has never signed Sangeeta Bijlani, Somy Ali, and Aishwarya Rai. Not that the actor asked him to do so. 

But now, Sajid has broken the bro code, by signing Katrina Kaif. She is paired with Saif Ali Khan in Kabir Khan’s next produced by Nadiadwala. 

Says a source, “When Imtiaz Ali was considering various actresses for the role opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Sajid’s production (untitled film), he tried to steer the director in the direction of Deepika Padukone and away from Katrina. That was one of the reasons Dips got the film. When it came to Kabir’s film too, Sajid was reluctant to take Katrina for the part. But Kabir, who has directed Kat in New York and Ek ThaTiger, was keen to repeat her and was adamant about roping her in. 

He is very impressed with the actresses’ professionalism and dedication and she suited the role, so he wasn’t even willing to consider someone else for the role.  
Finally, Kabir managed to convince Sajid that she was the best bet for the film.”

Sajid had to finally give in. The source further adds, “Kat too had been repeatedly calling Sajid for Kabir’s film and showing interest in the project. She even met him a couple of times to persuade him. Finally, Sajid gave the go-ahead to sign Katrina  before he left for London. The actress and Salman have broken up and moved on with their respective partners, she with Ranbir and he with Lulia, so Sajid decided to take a professional stand rather than an emotional one, as he had been doing all these years.”

Kabir denies he had to persuade Nadiadwala for Katrina, “I have never heard of any such rule.”

Bad news: Katrina is NOT doing Farah's film with SRK!!

For those who have been waiting to see the Shah Rukh-Katrina jodi re-unite after Jab Tak Hai Jaan there is bad news.

Reports in a section of the press that the two are coming together again in Farah Khan's Happy New Year are according to reliable sources `not true. `.

While Katrina has signed two new films, Kabir Khan's film for producer Sajid Nadiadwala with Saif Ali Khan and Abhishek Kapoor's adaptation of Charles Dickens's Great Expectations, she has no room this year for any other film.

Says a friend of Katrina, `She would have loved to do Farah's film. But we believe Farah initially wanted to sign a completely new girl for Happy New Year. She zeroed in on Katrina recently when Katrina had already said yes to other projects.

Katrina and Farah are very fond of another ever since they worked together in Tees Maar Khan. The film's failure did not affect their mutual fondness.

To be in Farah's next and that too with Shah Rukh with whom Katrina really hit off during Jab Tak Hai Jaan, would have been fab. 

However much Katrina would like to do Happy New Year she cannot as she is committed to finishing Vijay Krishna Acharya's Dhoom 3 and Siddharth Anand's Bang Bang before going into Abhishek Kapoor's film with Sushant and Kabir Khan's film with Saif. `

Interestingly Farah's heroine in Happy New Year has to be a fast-talking Marathi girl and also a fabulous dancer since it's the role of a beer dancer.

The 30-year-old British citizen reportedly owns properties in her hometown London. `This habit seems to be irking those who have been helping her find her dream home.` Apparently once in the recent past, her superstition came in the way of almost signing a deal.
